Buckeye Family Loses An All-Time Great: John Hicks

John Hicks, a two-time All-American and major award winner and undeniably one of the most outstanding Ohio State football players of all time, died Saturday after a long illness. Hicks’ wife, Cindy, contacted the Department of Athletics with the news. He was 65. Read more.

Member of the 1944 Football National Championship, Norman “Mac” McElheny, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Columbus. Read more. Chico Nelson, former Ohio State captain and three-year starter, passed away in Columbus on Tuesday, May 17. He was 46.

In Memoriam of Paul Michael Matus, Sr.

On April 18, 2016, Paul Michael Matus, Sr. passed away peacefully at home on the farm where he was raised, surrounded by family. He was 94 years old and played on the 1942 Ohio State National Championship Football Team. View obituary.

Varsity O at Operation Feed
